Our School
Wisdom and Harmony — a tradition of value-based education rooted in the vision of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara.
A nurturing home for every child
Lisieux CMI Public School, established in 2010, is managed by the CMI Fathers of Preshitha Province, Coimbatore, under the Little Flower CMI Educational and Charitable Trust. As a co-educational school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE — 1930644), we offer a broad, balanced education from Pre-KG to Class XII.
The name Lisieux recalls the birthplace of our patron, St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus — the “Little Flower.” In her spirit, we believe that every child is unique, special, and blessed with immense potential, and we walk alongside each one on the route to happiness and excellence.
Why “Wisdom and Harmony”?
Every child who passes through these portals is expected to have the divine wisdom within enkindled — and thus be inspired to live in harmony with God, others and the world. “Whoever listens to wisdom will dwell secure.” — Proverbs 1:33
Our Founder
St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara (1805–1871)
Popularly known as Chavarayachan, he was a great visionary and a saintly priest, a forerunner in the field of education in Kerala, and the founder of the CMI Congregation — the first indigenous religious congregation in India.
A tireless social reformer, he started a Sanskrit school open to all castes, established a printing press, and founded homes of charity for the poor and the aged. From his life of adventure and service we draw our inspiration to carry the task of imparting wisdom to the generations to come. He was declared a Saint of the Catholic Church on 23 November 2014.
Our Vision
To guide each unique child toward happiness and excellence — kindling the flame of knowledge so they may shine in the world and spread wisdom and harmony.
Our Mission
